【Financial Assistance for Initial Obstetric Visit Fees for Low-Income Pregnant Women】
Starting April 1, 2025, a subsidy (up to 10,000 yen) will be provided to help cover the cost of the initial obstetric visit for pregnant women from low-income households.
Eligible recipients are city residents whose households are exempt from municipal taxes or have equivalent income levels and who consent to sharing their prenatal checkup and household information with the city and medical institutions as needed.
【Assistance Method】
① Those confirmed pregnant at the first visit will receive reimbursement.
② Those who confirmed pregnancy with a test beforehand should bring documents from the Child Health Division to a designated medical institution.

【Support Gift for Pregnant Women (National Government Support)】
Currently, Yao City provides a 50,000 yen benefit after pregnancy registration and another after the baby is born. From April 1, the following will also be eligible:
- Women who miscarry or terminate pregnancy after receiving the 50,000 yen post-confirmation (50,000 yen per fetus)
- Women who confirmed a fetal heartbeat but did not register the pregnancy, and later miscarried or terminated the pregnancy after April 1 (50,000 yen + 50,000 yen per fetus) [Medical certificate required]
