Tuberculosis and Respiratory Infection Prevention Week on September 24 to September 30.

Tuberculosis and Respiratory Infection Prevention Week on September 24 to September 30.

Tuberculosis and COVID-19 are both “respiratory diseases”.

Tuberculosis is similar to the common cold. It often lasts for more than two weeks.

Tuberculosis is preventable and treatable.

Therefore, it is best to have a chest X-ray once a year.

Infants should also receive the BCG vaccination when they are between 5 and 7 months of age.

Furthermore, to prevent such respiratory illnesses, it’s important to wear masks, practice proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, wash your hands, and keep rooms ventilated.

Vaccinations are also recommended.
